Product Description

The transformer desiccant, also known as the transformer respirator, is a transparent glass cylinder that is clamped to the upper and lower flanges with screws. The interior is filled with blue or white silica gel (desiccating agent) according to customer needs, and a fully transparent double-layer glass oil cup for transformer oil is installed at the bottom breathing port. The desiccant is an air purification device that mainly filters moisture in the air and prevents the transformer insulating oil from aging and deterioration. When the transformer inhales, the air entering the main transformer passes through the desiccant to filter out dust and moisture in the air, so that dry and pure air enters the main transformer.

Construction Instructions

1. During installation, first remove the sealing baffle and sealing gasket on the connecting pipe between the transformer oil pillow and the desiccant, replace the sealing ring and install the desiccant;
2. Unscrew the oil cup at the bottom of the desiccant, remove the lower seal, add qualified transformer oil to the oil cup to the green line mark, and then install it on the desiccant;
3. If the desiccant has been installed when the transformer leaves the factory, just unscrew the oil cup before the transformer is put into operation and proceed to step 2;
4. During daily inspections, pay attention to the color change of the silica gel in the respirator. If the color of the silica gel changes from blue to light pink or red, it should be replaced in time to avoid affecting the filtering effect;
5. The respirator oil cup should be installed with appropriate tightness. If it is screwed too tight, the respirator cannot work, and if it is screwed too loose, the filtering effect will be reduced.
