Center- breaker disconnectors GW4(up to 252kV)
The GW4 series outdoor high-voltage AC disconnect switch is a three-phase, 50Hz outdoor high-voltage device used in power systems with rated voltages of 35 to 220kV. It is used for switching operations without load and for electrically isolating equipment under maintenance from live circuits.
Main Features
Simple structure, excellent performance, and reliable operation.
Adopts a self-actuating contact structure with high reliability. The contact pressure remains constant during operation, requiring no inspection or adjustment. Good self-cleaning capability. Automatically increases contact pressure when passing short-circuit current. Features an anti-corrosion design with excellent rust resistance. The overall structure has good stability. Easy to install and adjust.
Structure:
The GW4 series outdoor AC high voltage isolating switch is a double-column, horizontally rotating center-break isolating switch. The main current-carrying parts of the main knife switch are primarily made of aluminum alloy. The connection between the terminal and the aluminum alloy parts is ensured by copper braided wire. The terminal can freely rotate 90 degrees to ensure a flexible connection with the terminal.
This product comes in three specifications: non-grounded, single-grounded, and double-grounded. The isolating switch can be equipped with either a manual operating mechanism or a motor operating mechanism. The grounding switch can be equipped with a manual operating mechanism and a motor operating mechanism.
Application: In rated voltage 40.5~252kV power system, to separating the circuits under off-load status, set up air electrical clearning between the tested electrical apparatuses and electrified circuit.

- Installation site should be free of easily flammable, explosive, and chemically corrosive substances, and should not be subject to frequent and severe vibrations.

Working Principle:
During closing, the double columns rotate inward simultaneously, and the contact fingers engage with the contact seats. During opening, the double columns rotate outward simultaneously, and after the contact fingers disengage from the contact seats, they continue to rotate to 90 degrees and stop, forming a clear and noticeable isolation break. When the grounding switch is closed, the grounding contact rotates upward at an angle. After the movable and stationary contacts engage, the movable contact moves upward and inserts into the stationary contact, completing the closing action. The opening process is the reverse of this.
