Service Environment

Normal Operating Environmental Conditions

  • Ambient air temperature should not exceed +40ºC and should not be lower than -5ºC, with the average temperature over 24 hours not exceeding +35ºC. Indoor installation and use, with the installation location's altitude not exceeding 2000 meters.

    Relative humidity of the surrounding air should not exceed 50% at a maximum temperature of +40ºC. Higher relative humidity is allowed at lower temperatures (for example, 90% at +20ºC). Consideration should be given to the possible effects of condensation due to temperature changes.

    The equipment's installation should not exceed an inclination of 5° from the vertical plane.

    The equipment should be installed in places without severe vibration and impact, and where electrical components are not exposed to corrosive environments.

Cabinet Structure

The basic structure of the switchgear cabinet is assembled from C-shaped profiles. The C-shaped profiles are made from steel plates bent with E=25mm modular mounting holes. All cabinet frames and inner partitions are treated with galvanization and phosphating. The surrounding door panels and side panels are treated with high-voltage electrostatic powder coating.

Main Circuit Scheme

The main circuit of the GGD cabinet has been designed with 129 schemes, totaling 298 specifications (excluding the variations derived from auxiliary circuit functionalities and control voltage changes).

The main circuit schemes were selected based on feedback from numerous design and user departments, incorporating schemes required by power plants. The rated current goes up to 3150A, suitable for distribution transformers of 2000kVA and below. Additionally, to meet reactive power compensation needs, GGJ1 and GGJ2 capacitor compensation cabinets have been designed, featuring 4 main circuit schemes and a total of 12 specifications.

Auxiliary Circuit Scheme

The design of the auxiliary circuits is divided into power supply schemes and power plant schemes. The GGD cabinet provides sufficient space for the installation of secondary components and has also developed the specialized LMZ3D current transformer to meet the needs of power plants and special users for supplementary relay protection.

Main Busbar

Considering cost-effectiveness and the feasibility of substituting aluminum for copper, a single aluminum busbar can be used for rated currents up to 1500A, and a double copper busbar for rated currents greater than 1500A. The production factory manufactures prototypes based on these specifications and conducts type tests. Of course, the production factory can also replace the aluminum busbar with a copper busbar of the same current capacity based on user requirements. The busbar connection surfaces are treated with tin plating.

Selection of Electrical Components

The GGD cabinet primarily uses advanced electrical components that are domestically produced in bulk. Additionally, based on economic and rational principles, some usable old products such as DZIOD and D220 are retained, while obsolete products are not selected.

HD13BX and HS13BX rotary operated knife switches are specially designed components to meet the unique structural needs of the GGD cabinet. These switches alter the operation mode of the mechanism while retaining the advantages of older products, making them practical new electrical components.

If design departments select newer, more advanced electrical components based on user requirements, the GGD cabinet's flexibility in installation typically prevents any manufacturing and installation difficulties due to the component updates.

Enhancements in Busbar Stability

To further enhance the dynamic stability of the main circuit, a dedicated ZMJ type combined busbar clamp and insulation support has been designed for the GGD cabinet. The busbar clamp is made from high-strength, high-flame-retardant PPO alloy material through thermoplastic molding, offering high insulation strength, good self-extinguishing performance, and a unique structure. It can easily be assembled into a single or double busbar clamp by adjusting the modular block. The insulation support has a sleeve-molded structure, offering low cost and high strength, effectively addressing the creeping distance deficiencies of older products.
