1. Harsh weather conditions : The aerodynamic principle is taken into account in the shape design of the geotype glass insulator, which reduces the influence of wind load on the insulator in strong wind environment and improves the stability of the transmission line in harsh weather conditions. It is commonly used in areas with strong wind or power lines that cross rivers and straits and are prone to strong winds .
2. Dirty environment : Ground-line glass insulators perform well in dirty environments. Through the special structure or surface treatment of the umbrella skirt, the creepage distance is increased, and the insulation performance in dirty environment is improved. It is often used for power transmission lines in areas with serious industrial pollution and coastal salt spray areas.
