Scope of Application
The NDW3 series air circuit breakers (hereinafter referred to as "breakers") are suitable for power distribution networks with AC 50Hz/60Hz, rated current from 200A to 6300A, rated insulation voltage of 1140V, and rated operating voltages of AC220/230/240V, AC380/400/415V, AC440/480V, AC660/690V, and AC800/1000/1140V. They are used for distributing electric power and protecting circuits and electrical equipment from hazards such as overload, undervoltage, short circuit, and single-phase grounding faults.
The breakers also feature an isolation function. Equipped with multiple protection functions, the NDW3 series provides highly accurate selective protection, preventing unnecessary power outages and enhancing the reliability and safety of the power supply system.
Operating Environment
Ambient Temperature
The applicable ambient temperature range is -25ºC to +70ºC, with a 24-hour average not exceeding +35ºC. For environments with temperatures lower than -40ºC to -25ºC, customized solutions are available upon request. For temperatures above +40ºC, derating is required. For specific derating data, please refer to the table below.
Atmospheric Conditions
When the ambient air temperature is +40ºC, the relative humidity should not exceed 50%. Higher relative humidity is allowed at lower temperatures-for example, 90% at +20ºC. Measures such as dehumidification or other appropriate methods should be taken to prevent condensation caused by temperature fluctuations.
Altitude
The installation altitude should not exceed 2000 meters.
For installation altitudes between 2000 meters and 5000 meters, customized solutions are available. Operating performance should refer to the high-altitude derating table on the next page.
